Dr Daffodil is the comedy alter ego of Mona Abdel-Fadil (she/her) — Egyptian-Norwegian comedian, genre-bending performer, and skilled improviser with an undeniable stage presence and punchlines with citations.
Sharp. Political. Occasionally unsettling.
Always worth it.
Everything she does — scripted, improvised, silly, devastating — comes back to the same question: whose stories get told, and who ends up as the punchline? She asks it with forensic precision, a PhD's worth of receipts, and an absolutely unhinged commitment to making the room laugh.

Dr. Daffodil brought her satirical lecture performance on WENA (Western Europe and North America) to Det Norske Teatret — challenging stereotypes about Arabs and the MENA region through sharp satire, role reversal and witty, uncomfortably accurate observations on Western culture, mentality and self-image. The audience loved the diagnosis so much — they gave her a standing ovation. Dr Daffodil prescribed more comedy. A guest production from Masahat — promoting culture, art and knowledge from the Middle East and North Africa.
